MALES
Thank you all for your patience in waiting for the week 6 pictures and descriptions!
When picking your favourites please keep in mind…
-
The biggest/fluffiest/best looking pup now will not necessarily grow to be the biggest/fluffiest/best looking dog in the litter when it grows up. So it is important to pick primarily based on the personality that suits you/your family rather than the looks or size of the puppy.

-
The temperament descriptions can give a good indication, but don’t necessarily reflect exactly how a puppy will grow up. A puppy’s environment, socialization and training until adulthood have big impact and it is the new owner’s responsibility to continue positive socialization experiences and training, to get the best possible puppy from what good genetics and early socialization produced.

-
Puppies go through many developmental stages, including fear periods, which shape their behavior as adults. Both good and bad experiences during the puppies first two years of life have a major influence on what the adult version of that dog will be.

-
No matter whether your puppy is more active or more calm, shepherds are by default an active and large, working dog breed, meaning they need a lot of physical exercise and mental stimulation. Being active and training with your dog is not an optional thing, it's a necessity. Oftentimes behavioral issues stem from dogs not getting their needs met in these areas.

-
All puppies in this litter are playful, friendly, social and cuddly.

We have designed a simple temperament test. Read below if you're interested in the process and reasons why:

Restraint, holding puppy on its back for 30 seconds - tests tolerance of handling and dominance/submission levels.  a) submits straightaway b) fights, submits within 10 seconds c) ights, submits within 20 seconds d) doesn’t submit 4. Brushing & opening mouth with hands - tests willingness to be handled a) allows & relaxed b) wiggly but allows it c)fights/tries to bite 5. New object & sound sensitivity - opens an umbrella in front of puppy - tests instinctual fear response & reaction to something new/abrupt a) scared, runs away, doesn’t come back b) gets a fright, then hesitantly goes up to it c) gets a fright, then shows curiosity/investigates d)no fear, confidently goes up to it e)no fear, doesn’t show interest 6.Energy levels Result options: a) placid b) medium active c) active

GREEN
Green is a sweet and gentle boy. He looks to his humans for reassurance often, which means he will need positive socialisation and encouragement from his owners. In saying that, he always shows signs of curiosity and wanting to discover new things. The great thing about this trait is that he will be very connected to his people.

BLACK
Black is the most confident boy, he has a very grounded/down-to-earth personality. He shows a lot of curiosity in new things, has no issue exploring a new place but still always listens when we call him. Nurturing his already confident personality and giving him clear boundaries will make him grow into an awesome dog.
